Cow Chip Run Wraps Up XC Season
The SoundRunner Racing men’s team wrapped up a clean sweep of the 2017 USATF-CT Grand Prix XC Season with their fourth victory in the men’s open division, this time at the Cow Chip Cross Country Run in Trumbull on November 26th. The Milford Road Runners took first in the men’s masters division and Brookfield Running Company took victories in the women’s open and masters competitions.
In cool, dry conditions, SoundRunner’s James Rosenberg took the overall win in 17:44 while Annemarie Tuxbury was the women’s winner, placing fourth overall in 18:47.
The SoundRunner (18 points) men outpaced Brookfield (30) and Milford (33) in the open division and Brookfield took the masters win over Milford by 1 point and Hartford Track Club was third.
The women’s team races saw Brookfield outdistance Milford 17-19 and a 1-2-3 sweep of the master’s division gave Brookfield the win over Milford and Hartford Track Club.
